Abstract
Beginning in 1933 at the University of Vienna, Eduard Pernkopf spent over two decades working on his anatomical atlas titled, "Topographical Anatomy of Man." However, in 1998, it was revealed the Pernkopf and some of his artists were Nazi sympathizers. It is likely that many of the bodies used for the book came from the victims of the Nazi regime. There are many ethical concerns surrounding the use of Pernkopf's work for medical purposes.
