A published copy of the article "A Conceptual Schema for the Study of the Etiology of Pressure Sores" written by Barbara Braden, RN, MS. This article presents a conceptual schema within which current knowledge about the etiology and treatment of pressure sores can be organized and examined. The article won an award from the journal and was reprinted 25 years later as one of the most requested reprints. It was published simultaneously with the first study of Braden Scale so it is one of the first articles about the Braden Scale.
